How one dealer turned an air purifier sale into $10,000
Vacuums of Gainesville (Ga.) turned a $1,000 sale into ten times that amount by taking advantage of the online Perfect 16 Retailer Program. It’s a solid example of how IQAir whole-house systems can enhance your product line and generate sales increases. Here’s what happened:
Not one, but two HealthPro Plus Systems
A customer walked into the Vacuums of Gainesville showroom, searching for the right air purifier to protect the health of her young daughter who was recovering from pneumonia and other illnesses. Owner Robert Calderman (right) sold the customer not one, but two IQAir HealthPro Plus systems.
Returning to her home on the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest, the customer plugged in the HealthPro Plus systems and turned up the power. But after calculating the airflow from her two systems relative to the square footage of her house, she realized even two HealthPro systems were not moving enough clean air to deliver enough pure air throughout her home.
Better solution: The Perfect 16
Returning to the showroom, she asked about the Perfect 16 demo unit on display. It didn’t take long for her to realize the IQAir Perfect 16 whole-house air purifier could deliver medical-grade air throughout the house with multiple air changes every hour.
Calderman used the Perfect 16 Retailer Program (online at DealerConnect) to fill out a lead form and send it to the IQAir Installation Team. Within days IQAir Authorized Installer Vic Edens of Edens Heating & Cooling in Grayson, Ga., had completed a pre-installation evaluation and air quality test at the customer’s home. As a result, the customer purchased three systems to provide 10X cleaner air everywhere in the house. And she kept one of the HealthPro Plus systems for her daughter’s bedroom as well.

Calderman credits the Perfect 16 Retailer Program with extending the range of solutions he could offer his customers while dramatically enhancing his sales and revenue opportunity. Meanwhile, the two-man team from Edens Heating & Cooling installed the three systems in one workday, completing the work by about 5 p.m. "Then the customer borrowed my ParticleScan and tested everything herself," Vic Edens (at left) says. "She was very particular. She tested everywhere, including her daughter’s bedroom. The particle count was so low she could even see it increase when somebody moved."

Calderman says the IQAir Installation Team made his role easy by working directly with the installer and the customer throughout the installation.
"That’s what’s so nice about the process," Calderman says. "IQAir hooked everything up for us. Once we submitted the lead, the Authorized Installer got the job done without us ever having to leave the showroom."

At the DealerConnect Forum, Calderman wrote: "3 IQAir Perfect 16 Systems SOLD! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!"
Calderman is making sure that every customer who comes in his store sees the Perfect 16 demo system on display, and he keeps on hand a ready supply of tri-fold and full-size Perfect 16 brochures. "For our small vacuum store, closing this sale was a really big deal," Calderman says. "I cannot wait to sell our next Perfect 16."
